Story behind choosing the church and the reception venue (part 1)

Before preparing for our wedding we already talking on where we want to get married and I said to him that I want in Caleruega. H2b doesn't want there because many couples were getting married on the said church. He wanted something different. We are choosing between  St. Lourdes, Chapel on the Hill and Caleruega. I don't like St. Lourdes because it's too big for us. Our guests will not fill up all the chairs because we only have 150 guests. Chapel on the Hill for me is like gloomy (walang dating.. parang ang lungkot lungkot). Caleruega.... a very beautiful place, solemn and peaceful. So I told him to choose Caleruega for it has a perfect place to get married. :)

When I was searching on the internet regarding reception venues in tagaytay the place that attracted me most was the Ville Sommet. It's really a big venue. A glass house with a garden. Perfect for the reception we want. When I emailed them and ask for the quotation of their wedding packages I just said @$$%%#... Oh my gosh it's so expensive.. as in!

Ville Sommet's Garden (super ganda kaya super mahal din :P)

The place that attracted my h2b was in Splendido so we had an ocular visit in tagaytay and we went to splendido for the wedding packages. And again a very pricey place! :(

We don't want hotel for our venue because his sister's wedding reception held in a hotel that's why he wanted a venue something diffrent from it.

We don't want garden restaurants that's why we didn't choose josephine's resto, Sonya's Garden and Antonio's garden. And we don't like a resort venue. (eh d sana sa pansol nalang namin dinaos... hahaha)

So we agreed to choose the Nurture Spa. It's a very nice place and has a great wedding packages! (swak na swak sa budget namin :) )

Supplier's List

Before booking to our suppliers first thing we did was to booked on the church and the reception venue. Because these are the main two things that we need to do first before anything else. We have to book the church for this is very popular in the wedding event. We want to get married in Caleruega so we went there a year before our wedding.. Our plan is to get married on December 2011 or January 2012 but in our dismay December 2011 was almost fully booked! :(  The only available slots are 13, 24, 25 and 31! And we don't like the date. So we looked for January 2012 and the date we chose is January 27 it's friday. When we got home my h2b told his parents that our wedding will be on January 27, 2012 and they said we have to change it because they don't like friday, so we called in Caleruega and told them that we changed the date from January 27 to January 6, 2012. (His parents want January 6 because it was their wedding anniversay). But when I told it to my parents, they also disagreed because my father doesn't want the number 6 and because it's also friday! So again, we changed it from January 6 to January 9 it's monday at this time. My mother agreed on the date because it was full moon (they said it is lucky to get married when its full moon) and because it's also the feast of the black nazarene. But when my h2b told his parents they disagreed again because if we set it on monday some of our guests will not be able to come because they are working. So again and again we changed it from January 9 to December 24, 2011. Both parties agreed on the date! :) Happy us because the date was settled! After 2 weeks my h2b called me and said that his parents want to changed the date again! (waaaaah! I really wanted to cry, I have this feeling that this wedding will not happen this year.. ;( ) So my h2b called in caleruega and in our reception venue to changed the date for the 4th time! He chose June 23, 2011 but before changing the date he asked me first and we called our parents if they agreed on the date. It's thursday this time but our parents can't do anything about it because all weekends of 2011 are fully booked. Thank God! Finally! the date was settled! Tunay na tunay na tlga to! ^_____^.
